When I picked up my the can of Swave Daiquiri I also tried to find something else to try, I ended up with a can of Zyn Cool Mint Mini Dry. I thought it would be nice with something less candy/fruity as a contrast to the Swave can, and now I’m really thankful for that. I’m not sure if I’ve tried anything from Zyn before. I think I have tried something about a year ago, so I’m not really sure about what to expect. Zyn is a brand that’s created and produced by Swedish Match in Kungsälv, Sweden. Let’s review it!
Smell
Actually, it’s really hard to say something here. Why? Even when leaning in to smell the can, there is nothing. I was expecting a really strong smell of mint, but the only thing I can pick up (If I really try) is probably the pouch itself or the plant fiber? Some sort of fabric is the only thing I can pick up. Is that a bad thing? Not really, but I think a hint of something would nice. To be transparent, I opened the can yesterday and took a sniff while writing this. If there was any smell there in the first place, it’s gone now.
Taste
This one is actually pretty good. There is a nice mint taste to it. Fresh, but not too much in any way. I would gladly use this between my regular snus or after eating, just because it’s so fresh. Other than that, there is not much to say – straight fresh mint all the way.
How long does the taste last?
I’d say for at least 40 minutes. I have not used these for longer than that. The taste kinda fades a bit after a while, but it’s still there. It’s not like those nicotine pouches where there is a ton of flavour the first minute and then nothing. It fades in a very reasonable way. Nothing to complain about here.
The Pouch
This one does not feel as good as other nicotine pouches I’ve tried. It could just be due to the fact that this is a mini pouch. These are also available in a slim format, which would be a bit bigger. To be honest I bought the mini version by accident. So, that’s on me. The pouch is definitely high-quality, but it almost felt a little cheap for some reason. Again, this might just be the mini version. All in all, decent. One thing that surprised me was how the pouches were arranged in a spiral, I’ve never seen that before.
Strenght
So, this is getting harder and harder to say something about. This is a 4 out of 4 which is stronger than the Swave Daiquiri that I said was too strong for me. However, since this is a mini pouch there is less nicotine per pouch which might be the thing here. I get a slight buzz from these, which I’m not really a fan of, but it’s so short lived that I can look past it. I can definitely use this at any time without feeling sick. If you are looking for a mint flavoured nicotine pouch with a strenght above average, this might be interesting.

All in all, this is a good nicotine pouch. I should have gone for the slim instead of the mini. Either way, it’s a fresh minty nicotine pouch that I’d gladly use after eating, or just to break off from my regular snus. If this was the slim version, I’d probably give this a 3,5 instead of 3. It’s a very distinct taste, but it’s not too much, no smell and it has a decent feel to it. Maybe a bit small, but again, my bad. If you are looking for a minty nicotine pouch, you should really give this a try.
