After I tried the Swave Tropic Spritz I decided to try the other one that’s available to me in one of the local stores right now. I was quite impressed by the Tropic Spritz, so I had high hopes for this one. Today I’m trying Swave Daiquiri Nicotine Pouches. Swave is (as I mentioned in the last review) a brand created by Gotlands Snus in Sweden. As for now, there are two flavours on the market, Tropic Spritz and the Daiquiri. Let’s review it!
Smell
This one has a really strong smell! When you’re opening the can you’re instantly met by a really intense smell of watermelon. The smell is actually so strong that you could smell it even when the can is closed. Even if I like it, I would say it’s a bit too much when the smell is leaking out from the can. There is nothing wrong with the smell itself, it’s just too intense, it feels synthetic. No need to lean in to the can to feel it, trust me.
Taste
Since the smell was so intense, I pretty much knew what to expect before trying it. However, the taste was actually not as intense as I thought it would be. Don’t get me wrong, it still pretty strong. I can’t really say if it’s too much for me or not. This is also a case of a nicotine pouch that pretty much tastes the same way it smells, so a lot of watermelon – with a hint of pear. I’m not sure how to summarize this, it’s a good taste, maybe just a bit too much.
How long does the taste last?
This one lasts a while. I’m not sure about how long exactly, but well over 30 minutes. I don’t think I had it in for longer than 40 minutes, so I’m not sure how long it lasts after that. The reason I didn’t use it for any longer is simply because of the strenght and the intensity of the flavour.
The Pouch
Not much to say here. High-quality feel to it, same as the Tropic Spritz, not too big, not too small. Nothing to complain about really. It seems to be a slim format, which is the only format available at the moment.
Strenght
The strenght is 3 out of 4 which is the same as Tropic Spritz, so I didn’t expect it to be too strong for me. However, I felt like it was too much. Maybe it was a combination of the intense smell, taste and the nicotine, but this was too much for me. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t keep it in for more than 30-40 minutes. If you’re looking for something above avarage in strenght, this might be for you.

All in all, I guess this is something you should try if you’re into heavily flvavoured nicotine pouches. As I’ve mentioned a couple of times now, it was a bit too much for me, but that doesn’t mean other people won’t like it. I don’t want to bash too hard on it, but I don’t think I would buy this again, although it was fun to try it. I always had a can of Kronan vit around while using this to have a break from it, but I finished the whole can. If this was as well executed as the Tropic Spritz was, I would probably buy again some day.
